Horn of portals[1] is a Norse weapon linked to Stones of Power. It can be found on first island.

Unlocking[]

To obtain the horn, the Monarch must have four gems, which requires visiting other islands since the first island has no gem chests. Afterwards, the Monarch must first find and ride the day-night horse at the Sun-Moon Shrine on the first island (shown in the image) by paying one gem and four coins. Then with this mount, they must ride to Heimdall's Shrine. It looks like two human bearded statues with the Mannaz rune (ᛗ) on their foreheads, crying and pouring water from their mouths, with three altars that have a beam of light coming from above on one of them. The light depends on the time of day: dawn, noon, or dusk. At night it is completely inactive.

The Monarch must reach the shrine before night and place one gem on each altar where light beam shines on. Carvings on altars that have gems on them will glow light-blue, showing Sun's movement lines across dawn, noon, and dusk respectively. Once all altars have their gems, the water stops pouring, and the runes and eyes of statues flicker with a light-blue glow and Gjallarhorn appears from above, collected with one coin.

Ability[]

By using the Monarch's ability key/button, the Monarch blows a horn and creates a light-purple portal. On second blow, horn creates orange portal. Portals are permanent until blowing a horn for third time. The horn itself has no cooldown time and can be used repeatedly. These portals can be very useful for citizens and army to travel faster from one part of the map to another. Citizens and army can travel both ways through the portals. However, players themselves cannot enter through them and if left unattended, Greed can use those portals as shortcuts to player's base, so they should be handled with care. The boar may also use these portals.
